sarahintampa: Why I Didn’t Get to See FriendFeed’s Redesign

  • Robert Scoble · 8 months ago
Sorry you didn't make it. I wrote that message when I was a few blocks away from their offices. I was there right at 5:30. My videos of the session will be up by noon at http://scobleizer.blip.tv

That actually does make me feel better. I was thinking how sad would it have been if I could have been late after all.

I know it's pretty much all my fault, but it was a big disappointment. I look forward to your videos, though.

it also would've been nice if there was an option for FF enthusiasts not in SF at all, and I had a similar experience trying to work out an alternative ... but alas, getting to play with it on my own and give a raw first impressions review this morning was fine by me.

    Hmm, interesting.

Agreed. I get all the FF invites, but I can never make it, being in Texas.

i asked for the same thing adam - seemed like ff forgot that there are other people who report on news and/or like ff outside of SV (of course loic tells us thats the only place that matters anyway).

although on the tape i just watched bret (i think it was bret) said the news was to go live at 9am but i hear one outlet went early?

You do it for all or you don't at all. I don't see the point in alienating kind people who spend time writing about your company.

If you watch Robert's video, Sarah, you'll see everything there was to see on Friday. There was some standing around eating cheese and little round things, but I'm sure you got that at Web 2.0, right?
  • sarahintampa · 8 months ago
Oh yes, cheese was eaten! :)

So sorry. We were pretty swamped finishing things this weekend, and am extremely sorry we didn't connect. We will make ourselves more accessible in the future. We appreciate your being so candid, and sorry again for the miscommunication on our end.

    Thanks for the personal response.

You're not being a Prima Donna. At all.

Very poorly handled on their part.

    Thanks Drew.

Well, some people say I'm overreacting: http://beta.friendfeed.com/corvida/50ec623d/why...

...but I doubt they're aware of how company briefings tend to go (that is, much, much smoother).
