sarahintampa: Welcome, Unknowns

I'm totally not well know and very happy to be in your unknown folder:) Really cool to suddenly connect and find each other via Twitter this week.

Donald Rumsfeld would say not to worry about the unknowns. But the unknown unknowns.

Sorry about the splicing, but sharing links is how I blog on many a day.

I'm from Canada....generally speaking we like to be unknown. And I too got my degree in geography (well environmental resource management but it was in the geography dept :)

Thanks for the add Sarah, hope you enjoy (and the randomness doesn't overwhelm).

As for folder schemes in Reader, I prefer a tiered system: I have my friends (which I read first), followed by tier 1, tier 2 and (you guessed it) tier 3. To be honest, though, I hardly ever get to tier 2 or 3 . . .

I'm a newbie blogging. But my blog is meant to be interactive, but nothing is happening to it. I don't understand why? It's an interesting study in society that I'm doing. I want to know "How far will happy go?" I write about something that has made me happy or makes me happy and then you, the reader add to it with your own story. How hard is that to do? I'm stuck out in nowhere land. I am absolutely an unknown, but it's not about me. It's about seeing "How far will happy go?"

Great way to explore new blogs. I've heard good things about linkriver, but I guess I have to check it out for myself...

Can I be an unknown? :) I saw you're following me on LinkRiver now, so maybe you'll find Tropophilia to be interesting, too. I write about web 2.0 and social networking frequently, though my co-blogger and I talk about all sorts of stuff.

As for renaming folders in Google Reader, you best bet is going to be filtering your subscriptions by the current tag, adding the new tag you want to place on them, and then removing the old tag. Make sense? A little complicated and bootleg, but it should work... Just be sure to add the new before removing the old!

Hope to see you on Tropophilia soon.

    Jarred

Gee, 'tis nice to have one of my favorite writers about Web 2.0 tip her hat to me for a tumblelog still trying to find its voice and yet still get first mention in the list! Might i attribute this to the power of the enigmatic?

Imagine my surprise to see you follow me at Linkriver and to see the notification arrive in my mail. As a stream of less personal posts, i hope it doesn't disappoint.

Thank you for the mention, Sarah, and keep up the awesome reporting and writing!

Thanks for having me join in! My blog is primarily about marketing, new media, social and cultural commentary, and how to make all of this stuff be effective for you.

Hello Sarah, I'm not sure why I've grown to 1k subscribers either. There was a peak when my blog used to hit Digg once in a while. Used to be an early blogger on social media before the term was created ;)

Now its tapered off when I concentrated on personal experiences with social media, DIY, videography, etc. Strangely I was only recently alerted to your post via Technorati. Since we're on the topic of reading rss feeds, here's my collection of organized reads on Netvibes. I'll be adding you :)
