friendfeed is awesome. i've never clicked with twitter as I'm not into being a microblogger myself, but I follow a few folks twitter posts on friendfeed. And lots of non-microblogging feeds too. For instance, I saw this post on friendfeed and am following dave winer's DNC coverage there. More and more I"m using it as my reading interface for anyone who's on it.

Well I didnt answer on twitter but I will answer here :) I would say a big, huge YES!!!! Heck I changed http://www.jeffisageek.net to my friendfeed. I think it is a great service and has helped me a ton getting all my streams togather.

Maybe the problem lies in the question: "love" is a pretty strong word. "Like" or "Use" might have got more positive responses.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a social media junkie too, I just don't think FriendFeed is the answer. Many people I subscribe to on FF don't subscribe back, and my comments feel like they are just blowing in the wind. On Twitter, people converse more with me and it's much more of a, well, conversation. Also, I wish FF would let me know when people DO comment on my feed. If you log in regularly, you aren't notified, and it isn't always easy to see.

Of course the tweet on FriendFeed shows more YES's, but that was not the point. The Twitter poll was the point.

So why don't use ask, on Twitter, "do you love Twitter", and see if you get an overwhelming number of Yes votes. If you ask people on one service if they love it, it sways the voting.

I "blew" by this on FriendFeed because, to me, if I'm reading it on Twitter and FriendFeed- the obvious answer would be yes. Do I wish FF would deal with the duplicate posts? Yes, but just like any service, it takes time for the collective user experience to be ideal. I haven't found a service that is as useful and community centric as FF yet. As far as twitter- well I blogged about the new comers today- still find it an amazing part of my social "experience."

Among those responding on friendfeed, there were a lot more "yes" es! Some of us (myself included) didn't bother to select the "reply via twitter" option, methinks. There's about 60 replies on there!
