My Facebook Friend Suggestion Became a Friend Request?
I can't agree with you more! Most businesses forget that technology doesn't create productive users. Training is the only thing that really has a chance at accomplishing that. Good technology + training is where a company gets a chance to thrive internally. If you saw how ridiculous I get with my employees when they email instead of posting to our project site...they learn their lesson FAST. And that stuff works...
I like the idea of Attent, in principle, but as you mentioned, it doesn't help with external emails. I'd also be very curious how it would work within a chain of command--for instance, a boss could send something with 1 serios, but that boss's message would be intrinsically more important than a message from someone else. In other words, WHO a message is from is the real currency of messages.
I've been enjoying your writing here and on RWW about productivity and overload. I'll be attending IORG in NY (will you be there?) and look forward to more of this stuff! Hopefully more tools like Attent will keep coming out and some will really stick.

In an effort to accomplish more at work than *just* email, I'm now checking it once or twice per day--this should also help me to get back to you more quickly. If you need a more immediate response, just click the link above.

In the IORG conference we have Attent as a participant on the innovative vendor panel, so Jared will be able to report more on this!
