looks like MS is finally changing the way of Web . I would like to have it as it can give me better understanding of how it works and could use it some projects too. I have already replicted twitter in office and working on Dropbox now

    Hi Sarah,

Remember the debate on Twitter the other day? I think that itself should be a good reason for you to send an invite to me. You can then convince me on Live Mesh :-). If you think this is a valid reason, send one to live (at) krishworld (dot) com :-)

b/c I totally dug ozzy's 'Groove' back in the day before MS basically butchered it down with office 2007. I'm now dying to jump on board of his next baby. I'm a big fan of the whole cloud computing idea and wanna see how they evolve this product within the social networking realm.

    Hi Sharah,

I am a web developer and a blogger. So far I have been hating Microsoft for dozens of reasons but two things might soften my stance:
the first is Silverllight (and Popfly, to which I got an early invite thanks to a Microsoft friend, tested and blogged about).
    The second is Live Mesh.
Now, if Microsoft wants to make advances in the web community, this must come through people that are really difficult to be convinced, and it is this kind of people that should be targeted with the invites. Hence I consider myself as a good candidate for one.
P.S I forgot: 2 laptops 1 desktop at home, 2 desktops, 2 servers at work

I received my Mesh invite yesterday and eagerly began to try it out. Right off the bat, I was highly impressed with the web interface and ease of use. However, my view of it changed very quickly when I went to the desktop side. In order to use it on Vista, UAC needs to be enabled. I simply refused to turn this on just to try out Mesh. I know it's early in the development, but this is something that really needs to be changed, and I've already provided my feedback to the Mesh team.

I'd like an invite. I've participated in a few microsoft betas, most recently the Microsoft Search Server Express beta. I publish a podcast with a friend where we talk about tech news. I'm mostly interested in working with the mesh application integration.

I am a PC user with a total of 4 computers at home, 3 on vista, 1 using windows 2003 standard server. If it works through my company's firewall I'll also have 2 windows xp machines to play with it on. I also have an MSDN license.

You can also twitter me @smilbandit ,if you have any further questions that would help put me on the short list for an invite.

MS Cert from the low 5 digits, yes folks, that's 15 years as a MCSE! I still would love a shot at a preview, need podcast fodder anyway. See comments from yesterday.

    I don't want an invite.
    (ooo reverse psychology)

(but seriously, not much use for live mesh atm - so give it to somebody more worthy)

I still haven't forgiven Ozzy for for foisting Lotus Notes on an unsuspecting world. (Worst software product ever released.) But I'd be interested in seeing if he's redeemed himself with Live Mesh. I'm not blogging or podcastng any techie stuff lately, but I do have two computers at home (four, if you include my wife's) and one more at work, plus a Windows Mobile device. And you know I love new tech. :)

Good one, Sarah. I would love to get meshing! Since I use laptop at work, a beefy desktop at work (my backup where all my data from laptop using vista sync) and then have couple of usb drives that are hooked into my home pc then sync using sync toy. Since drives are bulky to carry, the only way for me to connect and retrieve data would be vpn. What is the point of duplicating data on laptop which will get synced to work laptop! In this equation my moblie devices are left out. I use zune, nokia e65 (personal) for gmail, exchange sync and off the fly photos. I have not bothered syncing.... and then there is my work mobile which I use for exchange (mails) and notes (outlook). All of this leaves out anything that I would like to share with SharePoint community or even other bloggers. For that I have to use skydrive.
Ideally I would love to have a master sync. I want to see how mesh is different from Groove! I am using groove at the moment but just to backup, not sycn (purpose lost) :-)

I'd appreciate the invite to see if my e-life can be meshed :-)

    Cheers!

Hey Sarah, I wouldn't mind a Mesh invite. Yeah yeah I'm a blogger, and too much into technology for my own good etc etc etc... but the real reason you want to give me one of the invites? You secretly want to see if you can be responsible for the trashing yet another Windows installation on me. Don't ya?
